Got a lot better looks at some characters, like Yasper (who’s shitty treatment of Xavier totally lines up with his egocentricity) Chelsea (Very realistic and unfortunate to what happens to normal, nice people in those situations, really hurt to see that play out) and Xavier (Played wonderfully by Dave Franco, he seemed so one-note at the beginning but his character just gets more and more compelling as the series progresses.) Consistently great so far, can’t wait to see where we go from here. It makes sense, as instead of seeing these characters through the biases of the other main characters, we’re now viewing them through the lens of Walt, who is basically just a sponge, personality wise.
At the start of the reunion, Aniq learns from his best friend Yasper (Ben Schwartz) that Chelsea had a complete breakdown, just as a fellow. With more of a rom-com approach, Aniq reveals he came to the reunion for Zoe (Zo Chao). Next for Detective Danner to interview is Aniq. It also felt like the realest looks at the characters we’ve gotten so far? Everyone seemed less exaggerated from the previous eps and way more realistic to what they probably were in-universe. In the seventh episode of The Afterparty, very little occurred in regards to the mystery of Xavier’s murder. The 00’s throwbacks were great, and I loved the setting for this one.
